Nora Jenkins, Lead Therapist at Konnect Wellness Center and Steps to Recovery Homes, brings a unique blend of expertise, compassion, and lived experience to her work. Holding two master’s degrees, Nora earned a Master of Science in Administration of Justice and Security (graduating with honors and as a member of the Alpha Phi Sigma National Criminal Justice Honor Society) and a Master of Science in Psychology, also with honors.
Driven by personal and family experiences, Nora was drawn to both the criminal justice and mental health fields, recognizing the critical need to bridge the gap between them. With years of professional experience, she has worked with countless individuals and families, offering a deep understanding of how substance abuse and trauma are often intertwined.
Nora’s personal journey with addiction and recovery adds an invaluable dimension to her work. After struggling with substance abuse, including IV methamphetamine use, marijuana, and alcohol, she found help and has maintained her sobriety since January 15, 1988. Her commitment to continuous growth is evident through her certification in Basic Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), a powerful tool in trauma recovery.
Believing in a holistic approach, Nora integrates meditation, essential oils, and aromatherapy into her therapeutic practice, helping clients find inner peace and resolve conflicts. She continues to learn from her clients and through ongoing training, ensuring she meets each person where they are.
Nora’s passion for helping others, coupled with the support of her dedicated team, creates a nurturing environment where clients feel understood and supported. Her message is clear: “You are not alone.”
